Case Summary:
In this case, the client that North America Immigration Law Group – WeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with was a client without current employment who was from China and whose expertise was in the field of Energy Engineering. He had conducted his research in the highly specialized area of improving the harvesting of energy through advanced methods of biohydrogen production and oil residue extraction. This research addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in the utilization of energy methods effectively, including developing surfactant/polymer formulations for high salinity reservoirs, which drastically improves the extraction of oil residue, and the optimization of biohydrogen production. His work had resulted in 21 peer-reviewed scientific articles and numerous presentations at national and international conferences; at the time that his case was filed, his publications had been cited at least 1055 times by independent leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of his work. He had also reviewed 115 manuscripts for distinctive, internationally-circulated journals. His superior level of expertise was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[Client]’s goal, which he ultimately achieved, was to find the conditions necessary to optimize biohydrogen production in order to reduce environmental pollution from the use of fossil fuels. Hydrogen as an energy source is both renewable and safe for the environment, and it can also be produced from organic wastes, thus furthering its role in reducing environmental pollution. The production of biohydrogen from organic waste is dependent on the cooperation of many factors-not limited to pretreatment method, temperature, initial pH, substrate concentrations, metal ion, and nitrogen. [Client]’s task was to uncover the precise level of each of these factors that would optimize the amount biohydrogen produced. The most important factor he found was that using heat-shock as a pretreatment method was the easiest and most effective method for improving the performance of hydrogen producing bacteria to produce hydrogen from digested sludge. By carefully manipulating several of the factors mentioned above, [Client] obtained the maximum hydrogen yield of 355.9 mL/g glucose, much higher than what was reported in previous studies of biohydrogen production. In doing so, [Client] has achieved a new strategy for producing alternative energy and provided other scientists and engineers the opportunity to design efficient and economical ways to produce biohydrogen.” It was our goal to prove that our client qualified for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability given that he sought to remain in the United States to work in the area of extraordinary ability, and that his work would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. With the proof and documentation that we provided, his case was approved in 20 days (3 days after requesting Premium Processing).
