Case Summary:
This time we were retained by a postdoctoral research associate in biotechnology from India. Within the field of biotechnology, he focused on the highly specialized topic of the molecular mechanisms and biological processes participating in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. His research had resulted in no less than 30 scientific peer-reviewed articles, 6 reviews, 6 book chapters, and 25 conference abstracts for presentation at national and international events. The high significance of his work is indicated in part by the excellent 808 citations his work had received at the time of filing, primarily from independent researchers around the globe. He had also reviewed 27 articles for distinguished journals in his field. He also conducted this study to determine the role of IKKα in acetylation of histone proteins. [. . .] [Client] has shown, on a consistent basis, the ability to conduct high quality research that significantly advances our understanding of the aetiology of COPD, which is crucial in advance of finding effective treatments for this and other debilitating smoking-related chronic lung diseases.” By means of the documentation we provided, we successfully proved that our client’s continued research would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States, and qualified for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability with intent to remain in the United States to continue work in the area of extraordinary ability. His case was approved in just 28 days.
Recently, the USCIS has accelerated its case adjudicating time at the 2nd quarter of 2014, which is reflected in the number of case approvals of our firm.
