His research seeks to reduce bacteria and other pathogens in processed and packaged foods through novel and more inexpensive processing techniques, performing studies with Bacillus coagulans spores in tomato juice and B. cereus spores in cooked rice. His work makes great strides towards improving shelf life of processed foods and making them safer, which is important to the economy of the food processing industry as well as public health. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to Food Science, including 7 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in leading journals, 2 first-authored book chapters, and numerous national and international conference presentations. His publications had been cited at least 33 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.
