EB-1A Petition Approved for Engineering Specialist from China in the Field of Mechanical Engineering

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you so much for everything! YOU ARE REALLY GREAT!”

On January 15th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for an Engineering Specialist in the Field of Mechanical Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Mechanical Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Engineering Specialist

Country of Origin: China

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Illinois

Approval Notice Date: January 15th, 2016

Processing Time: 7 months, 13 days (Premium Processing requested after RFE)

Case Summary:

Our client, an engineering specialist from China, holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He conducts research on the combustion performance and pollutant emissions process to improve engine efficiency and meet emissions standards. In order to satisfy the high standard of law for an EB-1A approval, North America Immigration Law Group proved to the USCIS that our client’s work is essential on both national and global levels.

It took the USCIS over seven months to send us an approval notice. The lengthy timeframe was a result of the Request for Evidence (RFE) that the USCIS issued. Our legal team addressed the RFE efficiently, and effectively persuaded the USCIS that halting our client’s work would be detrimental to the nation. At the request of our client, we then upgraded his case to be adjudicated under Premium Processing.

As part of our petition, we verified instances in which our client’s work has been implemented by other researchers. We did this by including recommendation letters contributed by mechanical engineering experts who discussed the significance of our client’s work. One of the recommenders wrote, “I relied on [Client’s] articles in my discussion of how dual-fueling was first created in order to use natural gas in diesel engines and how the combustion of mixing-limited diesel and premised natural gas had distinct advantages over conventional methods, while also resulting in efficiency increases and decreased smoke and nitrogen-oxide emissions.”

We are glad that our hard work has contributed to the success of this EB-1A case, and we wish our client the best in his continued research.
